Definition
A composite muscle - formed by fusion of two muscles Ò a true adductor and a hamstring muscle
Situation
On the medial part of the thigh
Origin
Along the ischio pubic ramus
Insertion
Along the linea aspera on the back of the femur and the gluteal crest of the femur.
Action
Adducts the thigh the towards the midline.
Nerve supply
Obturator nerve
Blood supply
Profunda femoris artery, a major of femoral artery.
